He had previously served as acting head of the customs.
Alexander Shvedov has served in the customs authorities since 1994, starting as an inspector in the clearance department of Moscow Railway Customs. He later headed the Pikino and Don customs posts and served as deputy head of CAT.
He holds departmental awards, the Medal for Diligence and the “Veteran of Customs Service” badge, and has the highest qualification grade of master.
