University students on familiarisation placements at CAT also took part in the meeting.
Nikita serves in a unit that CAT has supported since the start of the special military operation by repairing military Kamaz vehicles and sourcing spare parts. Learning that he was in Moscow on duty, customs officers invited him for an informal, friendly conversation.
The serviceman spoke about his service, daily life at the front and the main tasks he and his comrades perform. Customs staff asked questions on morale, health and routine duties, and assured him that support for the troops would continue until victory.
On behalf of his unit, Nikita thanked the Central Excise Customs for its active assistance.
“For fighters at the front it is very important to feel your support. You may not fully realise here, in peaceful life, how much soldiers appreciate your help, letters and gifts — it inspires us and gives strength,” he said.
At the end of the meeting, customs officers wished Nikita and his comrades a swift return with victory.
