An FCS Russia release notes that “another session of the EAEU Customs Committee was held in Tajikistan”, chaired in Dushanbe by FCS head Valery Pikalev.
Delegates from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan took part. The FCS chief thanked Tajikistan for hosting the meeting.
Twenty-two items were discussed, including customs transit, goods on the customs territory without release documents, temporary import of personal vehicles, metrics for post-release control and classification of certain goods.
Participants also addressed how to determine individuals’ status for temporary vehicle imports. Belarus reported imports of foreign-made goods without release documents to its businesses; members agreed to step up cooperation against illegal supply channels.
Work on customs value control continues: unified value risk indicators were updated and interim monitoring results were reviewed. Members agreed to share enforcement practice on goods in illegal circulation and to hold an EAEU imaging-operator skills contest in Belarus in Q3 2026. The next committee session will take place in Russia.
