In his message he noted that the Russian customs service has undergone a long process of development and today is one of the country’s key state institutions protecting national interests.
Every day customs officers uphold the interests of the state, ensuring legality and security in foreign trade activity. Through their dedication and responsibility, the Federal Customs Service strengthens Russia’s economic security, supports sustainable development and acts as a guarantor of national interests.
Mr Shvedov gave special thanks to customs veterans, who set an example for younger staff and preserve and build on service traditions.
He wished everyone good health, family wellbeing, energy and new achievements for the benefit of the country, expressing hope that each day of service would mark another milestone and that the trust of the state and society would remain a reliable guide.
