The driver of a truck travelling from Chelyabinsk Region presented a phytosanitary certificate for 500 pine trees. Inspection showed 1,037 freshly cut conifers in the body, and export of the entire consignment was banned.
Rosselkhoznadzor opened an administrative case under Article 10.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences for breach of quarantine-product export rules.
