The drugs were detected during operational search activities. The shipment received at a local post office contained compressed hashish packed in coffee and dietary supplement capsules.
The goods were seized and expert examination confirmed hashish. A criminal case was opened under Article 229.1(3) of the Criminal Code (illegal cross-border movement of narcotics on a large scale), punishable by up to twenty years' imprisonment and a fine of up to RUB 1 million.
The investigation is continuing.
