The undeclared goods arrived by truck from Belarus. The vehicle was halted near Byvalskoye village: documents listed mixed consumer goods, but inspection revealed Asian-made phones, accessories, smart watches, laptops, tablets and TV set-top boxes without proof of declaration or duty payment.

Experts valued the electronics at RUB 97.6 million and unpaid customs charges at about RUB 20 million.

A criminal case was opened against the cargo owner under Article 194(2)(g) of the Criminal Code (evasion of customs payments on an especially large scale), punishable by up to five years' imprisonment. Customs is conducting preliminary inquiry.
