A Belarusian national offered an inspector in the import and circulation control division a bribe to unlawfully allow a previously detained truck carrying Belarusian butter back into Belarus.
The cargo lacked a veterinary certificate and valid “Honest SIGN” identification marks. The driver was detained while trying to hand over the money.
A criminal case was opened against the briber under Article 291.2(1) of the Criminal Code (giving a bribe).
