EEC and Cuba Sign Joint Action Plan Until 2030

On the sidelines of the 5th Eurasian Economic Forum on 28 May, Bakytzhan Sagintaev and Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdes Mesa signed a 2026–2030 joint action plan between the EEC and the Cuban Government. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

In 2025 the parties completed the previous five-year cooperation plan. The new document, the signatories said, should not only maintain expert dialogue but move interaction into practical cooperation across a broad range of areas.

Those present expressed confidence that implementing the plan will expand direct business contacts between the EAEU and Cuba, encourage joint projects and strengthen economic ties. Cuba has held EAEU observer status since January 2021.
