EEC and CIS Executive Committee Sign Cooperation Plan for 2026–2030

On 28 May in Astana, at the 5th Eurasian Economic Forum, Bakytzhan Sagintaev and CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev signed a 2026–2030 action plan to implement the memorandum on deeper interaction between the EEC and the CIS Executive Committee. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

The document sets a framework for joint projects and thematic events. It prioritises trade, industry, transport, energy, customs cooperation, technical regulation, and sanitary, veterinary and phytosanitary measures.

Implementation should invigorate trade and economic dialogue between EAEU states and CIS countries that are not Union members and expand experience sharing between the Commission and CIS structures. The underlying memorandum was signed on 27 November 2018.
