Delegations from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia focused on how to keep EAEU technical regulations backed by up-to-date interstate standards and develop common rules for applying them when implementing those acts.

The meeting addressed coordinated approaches to using standards in technical regulation practice and to drafting interstate documents that form the evidence base for regulations. The exchange of views is intended to ease further alignment of decisions.

The Council operates as an auxiliary EAEU body for standardization in technical regulation; it was established by the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
