The fourteenth Antikontrafakt international forum ended in Astana with an EEC delegation led by Minister for Economy and Financial Policy Bakyt Sultanov; the theme was "A counterfeit-free digital economy: trust and transparency". Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
Participants linked the agenda to the EAEU Declaration on economic development to 2030 and 2045, which prioritizes digitalization and a seamless legal framework for rights holders. Ten platforms addressed counterfeiting and piracy, AI and neural networks in IP registration, and tools to detect illicit goods.
Speakers highlighted market-whitening effects in EAEU states from blockchain in IP registration and logistics, blocking of pirated digital content, cross-border digital interaction, and digital marking and traceability. The forum reviewed two draft agreements prepared by the EEC with member states: on combating online IP infringements and on a search service for industrial property protected in the Union.
Sultanov noted strong on-site and online interest and the need to align approaches to protecting AI-generated IP. According to the Stanford AI Index 2026, global corporate AI investment in 2025 exceeded USD 580 billion, 2.3 times the 2024 level; AI infrastructure spending may reach USD 2.75 trillion by 2030.
