On the sidelines of the fifth Eurasian Economic Forum in Astana, EEC Minister for Trade Andrey Slepnev and UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi discussed completing domestic procedures to ratify the Economic Partnership Agreement between the EAEU and the United Arab Emirates. Both sides noted that national approvals needed for the agreement to enter into force are close to completion.
The ministers agreed that practical implementation should start as soon as possible. They also reached understandings on drafting an action plan, arranging business missions and taking other steps to expand mutual trade.
