Authorised economic operators using a special simplification at a customs warehouse will declare data that customs authorities can receive automatically, under amendments adopted by the EEC Collegium. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
AEOs may store goods on their own premises under the customs warehouse procedure. Declarations must now indicate the location of goods; where the special simplification applies, operators must enter details of the document confirming establishment of a customs control zone or the zone's registration number.
The change should eliminate extra requests to businesses, cut costs for foreign trade participants and streamline customs control. Authorised economic operator status is an internationally recognised customs partnership standard; the additional special simplification for AEOs was approved by Council Commission Decision No. 86 of 18 October 2024.
