EAEU technical regulation moves toward digital format

The EEC headquarters hosted a meeting of the working group coordinating the digital technical regulation project in the Eurasian Economic Union, chaired by Minister for Technical Regulation Alexander Subbotin. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

Representatives of authorised bodies in EAEU states and Commission staff reviewed implementation progress and timelines for individual stages. The minister urged all stakeholders to ensure the project launches this year.

Discussion at a thematic session of the Eurasian Economic Forum in Astana was well received; the same issues formed the basis of the working group's agenda.

The project aims to digitise the development of product safety requirements and provide broad user access to requirements and conformity assessment procedures. The coordination group operates under Collegium Order No. 196 of 23 November 2021.
