Delegates reviewed how air logistics is developing in both unions, what risks the sector faces and what responses are needed as trade between Eurasia and Southeast Asia expands. Kozhoshev stressed that coordinating air corridors and logistics hubs is strategically important for fast delivery of perishable and high-tech cargo.

Discussions covered electronic transport documents for air freight, international standards for transport information systems, innovation in aviation logistics, fleet renewal and airport infrastructure development. Participants also focused on non-discriminatory access for airlines to aviation infrastructure.

Rustam Zhenalinov, Director of the EEC Department of Transport and Infrastructure, said that applying successful regional practices could improve EAEU and ASEAN performance in transit shipments between Europe and Asia. Those present agreed to continue cooperation at the level of the ASEAN Secretariat and the EEC, national authorities and business communities.
