Off the main programme, Naira Karapetyan, head of the Agro-Industrial Policy Department, and Zoya Morochkova, Assistant to the Minister for Industry and Agro-Industrial Complex, met the Russian and Belarusian ambassadors to FAO and representatives of other international bodies based in Rome. They discussed effective formats for joint work.

Speakers set out positions on food security and organic farming — both for ongoing projects and for future tracks. The parties agreed to keep up contacts to deliver the shared EEC–FAO agenda.

The hall brought together EAEU and FAO delegates, UN funds and programmes, observers from international organisations, researchers, business and NGOs. The FAO Council coordinates the organisation’s work, handles administrative tasks and monitors the global food and agriculture situation.
