The trip continued a series of regional inspections: officials reviewed how the posts are arranged under the system for conducting selected types of control (SPOT) and how updated control procedures are applied in practice.
Technical issues were discussed separately. Pikalyov checked communication channels used for data exchange between customs and tax authorities and options to improve channel resilience and expand the posts’ digital infrastructure.
Talks also covered equipment at the control posts and refinements to procedural schemes. In meetings with local officers, the FCS leadership addressed service and living conditions and plans to develop infrastructure so that border control can be carried out more effectively.
