Immediately before the appointment, from June 2025, he worked in the secretariat of the EEC Minister for Integration and Macroeconomics.
In 2020–2023 Dzhusupbaev took part in a European Bank for Reconstruction and Development project on protecting entrepreneurs' rights, improving the business climate and proposing ways to cut regulatory barriers.
Earlier he served in the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic (2018–2020) on strategic development, economy and finance, headed the investment policy and free economic zones unit at the republic's Ministry of Economy (2017–2018), and in the early 2010s began his career in economic and fiscal bodies of Kyrgyzstan's central government.
He graduated from Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University in Finance and Credit in 2010 and completed a master's degree in International Law at the same university in 2014.
