EEC integration and macroeconomics minister Daniyar Imanaliev moderated the discussion. He listed priority areas for dialogue: food security and sustainable agriculture, digital transformation, industry, energy and transport corridor development.

Imanaliev said cooperation mechanisms between the two integration blocs provide a basis for practical exchange in key sectors of the economy.

Participants discussed business ties between EAEU and ASEAN countries, joint project opportunities and sharing best integration practices to strengthen economic connectivity across the regions. Officials from Indonesia, Laos, Thailand and the Philippines and leaders of major business associations took part.

The forum is intended as a platform for professional discussion of Russia's trade, economic and investment cooperation with ASEAN states and of the EAEU–ASEAN partnership.
