Slepnev: EAEU and India advance free trade agreement talks

From 22 to 25 June, the EEC headquarters in Moscow hosted the second round of talks on a free trade agreement between the EAEU, its member states and India. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

Negotiators discussed the draft agreement and market-access issues and then agreed a timetable for further work. EEC Minister for Trade Andrey Slepnev said the teams had reviewed core elements of the deal, including rules on non-tariff measures and key requests for mutual market access.

He added that the constructive approach on all sides shows a shared aim of securing meaningful results in advancing the free trade agreement.
