Talks covered results and prospects of cooperation between EAEU states and Peru under a memorandum of understanding signed in 2015. The Board Chair recalled joint working group meetings in Lima (2016) and Moscow (2019) with government and business representatives from both sides.
EAEU–Peru trade turnover in 2025 reached USD 679.2 million, up 13.7% year on year. Sagintayev said bilateral contacts are complemented by a multilateral track and thanked the Peruvian side for helping develop dialogue between the EEC and the Andean Community.
Following the meeting, both sides confirmed interest in implementing planned economic initiatives and expect Peru to remain a link between the Commission and the Latin American region.
