EEC Minister for Trade Andrey Slepnev noted that large volumes of foreign goods reach the Union’s domestic market online, while platform economics is sharpening focus on exporting Union-made products. He recalled existing and planned EAEU trade agreements with third countries where e-commerce is already on the agenda.

Slepnev said small and medium businesses stand to gain most — whether through direct expansion of Union platforms abroad or partnership arrangements between marketplaces. Participants reviewed practical export barriers, including permits for agri-food products, and plans to enter markets in China, Mongolia, India, and CIS partners.

According to the Association of E-commerce Companies, EAEU exports via e-commerce to third countries exceeded RUB 700 billion in 2025 and are expected to pass RUB 1 trillion this year.
