Russia’s ZAVOD GRADIENT LLC is leading the initiative with partners in Belarus and Kazakhstan. EEC Minister for Industry and Agro-Industrial Complex Goar Barseghyan said the sector relies heavily on imports while demand remains strong in the Union for equipment using natural refrigerants (CO₂) from retailers, logistics hubs, and food processors.
She said the project would scale up domestic output and support import substitution across member states. The EEC has received 23 subsidy applications; six projects are approved and others are at various review stages.
