The Eurasian Economic Commission Council adopted amendments to the rules for mutual recognition of calibration results for measuring instruments made in EAEU member states, taking account of how such work is organized nationally. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
The decision broadens the scope of the mutual recognition rules for metrological conformity work (EEC Council Decision No. 145 of 18 October 2016) and brings into force, on the same timeline, the procedure for organizing calibration of measuring instruments (EEC Board Decision No. 84 of 20 June 2023).
The updated rules set out who may perform calibration, define in each country the bodies that accept its results, and establish mutual recognition through cooperation between those categories of participants.
The new framework should eliminate duplicate calibration of the same measuring instruments across EAEU member states.
