FCS Russia head Valery Pikalyov and Belarus SCC Chair Vladimir Orlovsky visited the Krasnaya Gorka stationary control point — the largest SCP on the Russia–Belarus border — and reviewed the cargo delivery waiting confirmation system (SPOT) on site. Source: FCS Russia.
Smolensk Region has the longest stretch of that border — more than 500 km — with nine SCPs operating under SPOT controls.
The delegation was shown how mobile teams work: checks and QR-code scans that confirm compliance. Scanning takes little time, is selective and does not disrupt traffic flow.
Belarusian counterparts were also briefed on a draft standard SPOT control model: upgraded technology schemes, automation and practical infrastructure should make procedures faster for carriers and importers.
Both sides noted that SPOT is running normally, that controls have proved effective, and that the system is convenient for business while helping curb grey imports.
