Declarations will have to include IMEI codes for mobile phones and tablets with cellular capability. The rule initially applies only to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, reflecting national registration and verification requirements when such devices enter the EAEU customs territory.
The form and completion rules were approved by EEC Board Decision No. 158 of 16 October 2018 and apply when declaring personal-use goods moved by express carriers.
