Both sides noted issues already resolved and focused on speeding up the movement of goods and vehicles at the Nizhny Zaramag road checkpoint amid construction works and mountain weather. The crossing operates around the clock; 8 of 11 lanes are open, with the rest due to enter service by the end of the month.
They also reviewed simplifying customs formalities for privately used vehicles entering the EAEU. The specialised South Ossetian customs post already accepts advance applications from individuals, which shortens control procedures.
The meeting set priority workstreams and floated joint training events.
