Delegates agreed updates to interstate standard development programmes supporting the EAEU technical regulations on perfume and cosmetic product safety and on meat and meat products. Changes follow the Union’s standardization coordination rules to keep market requirements current.

Draft amendments to the standard lists for light industry, specialised foods and food additives, flavourings and processing aids were cleared for further consideration, including addition of up-to-date standardization documents.

Section 12 of Chapter II of the Uniform sanitary and epidemiological requirements is to be refreshed — personal hygiene goods and removal of obsolete rules were endorsed for adoption. Subcommittee memberships on standardization, veterinary and quarantine phytosanitary measures were confirmed, and two expert groups were set up on conformity assessment and updating Union Treaty terminology for product testing.
