Aleksandr Subbotin holds working meetings with Kyrgyz leadership

During a working visit to Kyrgyzstan, EEC Minister for Technical Regulation Aleksandr Subbotin held talks with Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

The parties stressed the need to keep a barrier-free trading environment within the EAEU single customs territory. They also reviewed ways to address current challenges in technical regulation, sanitary, veterinary and phytosanitary quarantine measures, and the circulation of medical devices and medicines.

Following the meeting, priorities for further joint work in these areas were set.

Subbotin also met Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Erlist Akunbekov. The sides exchanged views on developing SPS practice in line with measures under the “Eurasian Economic Path” Declaration.

The EEC minister noted that high-level talks and working meetings help clarify problem issues in Union states and support coordinated systemic solutions.
