Koltsovo customs find 17 kg of undeclared jewellery and bags in tourist’s luggage

She was stopped in the green channel during selective control. Two suitcases held a bracelet, earrings and a necklace by Messika and Chanel; shoes, glasses, bags and wallets by Gucci, Prada, Chanel and Balenciaga; and a Swiss pocket watch Audemars Piguet x Swatch Royal Pop Lan — all in branded packaging worth RUB 4 million in total.

The traveller said some items were for her own use and some were gifts for friends.

An administrative case was opened under Article 16.2(1) of the Code of Administrative Offences (failure to declare goods). The sanction may include a fine of up to twice the value of the goods, with possible confiscation.
