A working group under the EEC Advisory Committee on Customs Regulation reviewed EAEU countries’ proposals to refine goods declaration rules, including information on trademarks and brands. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
The meeting was chaired by Grigor Oganyan, Deputy Director of the Department of Customs Legislation and Enforcement Practice, and brought together public authorities and business representatives from EAEU member states.
The participants focused on a uniform approach to declaring trademarks, brands and other intellectual property objects. They also reviewed possible amendments to the EAEU Customs Code that would specify which data on those objects may be required.
The current procedure for completing goods declarations is set by Customs Union Commission Decision No. 257 of 20 May 2010. The working group covers declaration forms and completion rules.
