On 6 August, Daniyar Imanaliev, EEC Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics, took part in the “Economic Integration in the EAEU: Focus on Internal Potential” session at the Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum in the Issyk-Kul Region. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
The session considered practical formats of cooperation across the EAEU, including trade and economic ties, investment in regional projects, industrial cooperation and ways to scale joint initiatives.
Participants reviewed how the Commission, banks and development institutions can support these projects. Intra-EAEU trade was discussed separately.
Preliminary estimates put trade between EAEU member states at USD 95 billion in 2025, equal to 20% of their total foreign trade turnover. It is expected to exceed USD 100 billion in 2026.
The participants noted the need to broaden practical cooperation among regions, businesses, banks and development institutions and to use EEC instruments for cooperative projects.
