The EEC Council has adopted tariff measures for raw materials used in titanium production, providing relief for vanadium-aluminium master alloy and temporarily eliminating duty on titanium oxide. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
The relief applies to EAEU FEACN code 8112 92 910 1 vanadium-aluminium master alloy imported into Kazakhstan to manufacture titanium ingots, alloys and slabs. Imports are capped at 450 tonnes a year from the effective date through 31 July 2028.
The import-duty rate for titanium oxide under EAEU FEACN code 2823 00 000 0 has been reduced to zero for two years. The material is used as an alloying additive for ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
The EEC expects the decisions to cut the cost of imported inputs and titanium ingots, supporting the competitiveness of EAEU titanium products in global markets.
