EAEU harmonises e-commerce rules across the Union

The EAEU prime ministers have signed an Agreement on e-commerce in goods that establishes a common legal framework for the sector, with transparent and fair regulation for businesses and effective consumer protection. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

The agreement sets out approaches to electronic document exchange, data protection and information security. It also provides for rules on advertising mailings and a register of goods whose online sale is prohibited or restricted under the Member States’ laws.
