The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has set a zero import-duty rate on manganese ores and concentrates (EAEU FEACN code 2602 00 000 0) through 31 August 2028 inclusive. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
The goods are the main feedstock for manganese alloys used in ferrous metallurgy as a deoxidiser and alloying additive in steelmaking, said Vaagn Kazaryan, Director of the EEC Department for Customs Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation.
In his assessment, removing the duty will help EAEU metallurgical plants utilise capacity more fully, shift toward higher-margin output and strengthen their position on domestic and export markets.
The decision takes effect ten calendar days after its official publication.
