EEC and Thailand discuss expanding trade and economic cooperation

According to the Commission’s representative, cooperation with ASEAN countries, including Thailand, remains an important strand of the Union’s external agenda. Dialogue looks promising in digitalization of the economy, energy, industrial cooperation, transport and logistics.

Growing mutual interest among business communities of the EAEU and Thailand was noted, including through business forums, conferences and seminars.

The sides also reviewed implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the EEC and the Government of Thailand of 19 November 2018 and preparations for the forthcoming meeting of the joint working group.
