The backdrop is the EAEU–Mongolia interim trade agreement that took effect on 22 July 2026. From that date, customs duties were zeroed or cut on 367 tariff subheadings for each side — about 90% of bilateral trade. The deal runs for three years and may renew automatically for another three-year term.
