The “Trade Without Borders” panel (25–27 August) was held by videoconference. Speakers covered certificates or declarations of origin for tariff preferences (depending on consignment value) and the practicalities of foreign-trade contracts.
Cherekaev outlined the agreement’s expected benefits and tools for resolving supply issues quickly. The parties, he said, intend to run joint projects to ease non-tariff barriers and improve mutual market access.
The Temporary Trade Agreement of 27 June 2025 has applied since 22 July 2026: duties on 367 tariff subheadings for each side are zeroed or cut. It runs for three years and may renew automatically for another three-year term.
