EEC Minister for Integration and Macroeconomics Daniyar Imanaliev and Thailand’s Ambassador to Russia Sasivat Vongsinsawat discussed prospects for trade and economic cooperation between the Commission and the Kingdom’s government. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
Mr Imanaliev pointed to strong potential for dialogue between the EAEU states and Thailand, highlighting digitalisation, transport and logistics, customs and technical regulation, and technological and innovation development. These topics, he said, will be the focus of the third EEC–Thailand working group meeting in 2027.
He also noted scope for structured business contact between the “five” and Thailand through joint seminars, conferences and business forums.
The ambassador outlined Thailand’s current logistics, infrastructure and innovation projects and stressed Bangkok’s interest in cooperation with each EAEU member state.
Thai officials and business representatives were invited to the 6th Eurasian Economic Forum in Bishkek in 2027. The meeting follows agreements reached on 13 August between EEC Board Chairman Bakytzhan Sagintayev and Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow.
