Imanaliev highlighted EAEU interest in long-term trade links with Latin America’s largest economy and the Commission’s experience with memoranda involving states and integration bodies in the region.
As a first step he proposed presenting the EAEU to Brazilian business, official and expert audiences. The ambassador stressed a systemic dialogue, including under the EEC–MERCOSUR memorandum on trade and economic cooperation.
The sides reviewed holding “EAEU Days” at MERCOSUR headquarters to exchange integration practices and confirmed joint participation in the BRICS Business Forum on 11 September 2026.
