The EEC Council amended the Rules for determining the country of origin of certain goods for access to EAEU public procurement: the “Special machinery” section now includes fertiliser spreaders, and scoring for technological operations was set for multi-bucket excavators and ball or roller bearings. The changes take effect 30 calendar days after official publication. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
Liquid nitrogen and oxygen, medical furniture with electronic devices and parts thereof gained access to public procurement under ST-1 certificates.
The amendments open entry to the Eurasian Industrial Goods Register, support deeper localisation in the Union and trade in special machinery on member states’ procurement markets. The register underpins access where preferences, restrictions and bans apply to goods from other member states and third countries.
