The forum brought together Union customs services and business. Among digitalisation priorities Shklyaev listed a single transit system, tracking shipments with electronic navigation seals, and data exchange on goods and vehicles with key trading partners.
During the visit he held a trilateral meeting with Belarus SCC Chair Vladimir Orlovsky and FCS Russia Deputy Head Tatyana Merkushova. Talks focused on putting into practice the Agreement on a Unified Customs Transit System: a single electronic declaration, unified payment security, and cargo integrity via navigation seals. How fast these elements are rolled out, he stressed, affects the competitiveness of EAEU transit; Uzbekistan, among others, has shown strong interest.
