The EAEU Exchange Committee brought together member-state authorities, trading organisers and infrastructure firms and set up three working bodies for the common commodity exchange market. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
The organisational-legal, functional and digital subcommittees will carry out the programme for exchange trading. Plans and a timetable for 2026 were set for the committee and the subcommittees.
The legal subcommittee will draft input for an international treaty on the common organised market and for aligning exchange-trade laws. The functional one will prepare the goods list, trading rules, agreements between organisers and infrastructure, and common specification forms.
The digital subcommittee will cover electronic documents: mutual recognition of digital signatures, data exchange among market participants and security of hardware and software systems.
Trading organisers have started drafting specifications, agreements and rules. Those texts are due to go to the Exchange Committee shortly.
