They looked at aligning national laws with the rules on circulation of farm goods, so that technical barriers do not appear in mutual trade.
Sanitary, veterinary and quarantine phytosanitary measures were discussed as tools to raise the quality and safety of products on the common market.
For the 2nd International Forum “Veterinary Security” they flagged control of cross-border infections, vaccination systems and common approaches to veterinary measures across the Union.
Both ministers said regular contacts are needed to shape EAEU law that supports the common agricultural market and product safety.
