After the CIS heads of customs councils meeting in Belarus, the heads of the Russian and Uzbek customs services — Valery Pikalyov and Akmalhuzha Mavlonov — signed two documents to expand cooperation. Source: FCS Russia.
They approved the Regulations on the Joint Customs Council of the two countries’ authorities and a Roadmap for cooperation for 2026–2028.
The roadmap covers digital customs administration and modern control equipment, risk management, payments, customs valuation and intellectual property protection.
The services also plan closer work on staff training, customs expertise, and cultural, humanitarian and sports projects.
