In the green channel officers found earrings, shoes, a keychain, a Schiaparelli bag, Saint Laurent ashtrays, Gucci slippers and Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton accessories in her suitcase; she removed a Hermès jacket, a Saint Laurent bag and a Van Cleef & Arpels necklace, and took a Chanel bag from her trousers.
She said she hid the bag for fear of theft and claimed she did not know the customs rules. Experts confirmed the goods were genuine; jewellery included gold-plated copper alloy and 750 gold with onyx.
An administrative case was opened under Article 16.2(1); she faces a fine of up to twice the goods’ value and possible confiscation.
