Outcomes of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting

In Minsk the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council reviewed 15 integration topics — from trade and customs administration to transport, industry, energy markets and agribusiness; Uzbekistan, Iran and Cuba took part as observers. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

Prime ministers discussed East–West and North–South corridor infrastructure, including links with the Belt and Road, and electronic document exchange at sea checkpoints.

The Nevel–Dno–Luga–Gatchina rail section was added to priority transport projects; a common electricity-market package was approved. On the sidelines the EEC and EFSD signed a cooperation memorandum.

The next Intergovernmental Council meeting is due in Moscow in December.
