Alexander Subbotin and Dmitry Volvach discussed a package of measures to improve the reliability of conformity assessment in the EAEU under Supreme Eurasian Economic Council Decision No. 20 of 21 December 2025. Source: Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
To react faster to breaches, the EEC proposes two blocks of changes. The first covers near-term steps within current powers before the integrated information system is launched: interim cooperation rules, simpler document exchange and complaint handling, and more reliable common registers to spot issues at certification bodies and testing labs.
Amendments to the 2018 Regulation on the Council of Heads of Accreditation Bodies would let the Council hold mandatory consultations on disputes, set meeting rules and send materials to the Commission.
The second block covers longer-term legal work: accreditation–supervisory cooperation, recording of test reports and stronger national liability rules.
