The passenger used the “green” channel; an X-ray scanner showed coin sets in her suitcase.
She told inspectors the coins were for personal use and that she was unaware of their value.
Experts confirmed the pieces are numismatic items made of 999-grade silver as well as copper, nickel, and zinc.
The case may lead to liability under Article 16.2(1) of the Code of Administrative Offences for failure to declare goods, with a fine of up to double the value and possible confiscation.
